In 2004, we began an important journey to
help physicians and other clinicians help their
overweight patients with, or at-risk for
chronic disease, live healthier lives.

"I founded DPS Health to help clinicians support a larger number of patients with cost-effective behavior change and self-management support programs."

Dr. Neal Kaufman
About Us

Helping patients cope with the effects of obesity, such as diabetes and heart disease, is a challenge faced by thousands of clinicians and millions of patients every day. Since 2004, we have pioneered behavior change technology solutions that address the increasing costs associated with unhealthy patient behaviors, and to respond to changes in healthcare reimbursement.

Yet the goal of helping patients increase physical activity and improve nutrition, to help them modify and sustain these new healthy behaviors and improve self-management requires 24/7 support. This is all the more critical with the increasing number of patients with obesity-related diseases and the shortages of staff needed to support patients.

For clinicians facing increased patient loads, combined with 15-minute office visits and limited office hours, and for health systems facing shortages of clinicians, it seems like an impossible task.

Our mission at DPS Health is to make this goal a reality. We have developed partnerships across many different sectors of the healthcare industry to deliver web and cell phone-based patient obesity-related self-management interventions. These programs allow a single clinician to reach out and educate, support and encourage large numbers of overweight patients – one patient at a time.
